Calls to our practice may begin with an automated notice that the call may be monitored or recorded. By continuing the call after this notice, you consent to recording. If you do not consent, please inform our staff immediately.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

Purpose: The Meta Pixel is a piece of code that allows us to measure the effectiveness of our Facebook and Instagram advertising campaigns, build audiences for future ads, and track user actions on our Site (such as page views and form submissions).

Data Collected:

  • Actions taken (e.g., viewing a services page, submitting a contact form)

4.5 Meta Ads (Facebook & Instagram Advertising)

Purpose: We run paid advertising campaigns on Facebook and Instagram through Meta’s Ads Manager platform. These ads may be targeted based on demographics, interests, location, and behavior, including data collected through the Meta Pixel (described above).

4.6 CallRail

Provider: CallRail, Inc.

Purpose: CallRail is a call tracking and analytics platform that we use to measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns. When you call a tracking phone number displayed on our Site or in our ads, CallRail records information about that call and attributes it to the marketing source that drove it (e.g., a Google ad, an organic search result, or a specific webpage).

Data Collected:

  • Caller phone number
  • Call date, time, and duration
  • Marketing source (how you found our phone number)
  • Geographic location based on area code
  • Recording and/or transcript of the call (where legally permitted)

CIPA Notice: California law (Cal. Penal Code § 632 et seq.) requires all parties to consent to call recording. Calls to our practice that are routed through CallRail’s tracking system may be recorded. You will receive an automated disclosure at the start of any recorded call. If you do not consent to recording, please inform our staff and the recording will be stopped.

Data Sharing: CallRail data is used solely for our internal marketing analysis and is not sold or shared with third parties for independent commercial purposes.

8. California Invasion of Privacy Act (CIPA) Compliance

The California Invasion of Privacy Act (Cal. Penal Code § 630 et seq.) governs electronic surveillance and the recording of telephone and electronic communications in California.

In compliance with CIPA:

  • Telephone calls to our practice that are routed through call tracking software (CallRail) may be recorded. All parties to such calls will be notified of the recording before it begins.
  • We do not intercept or record electronic communications (such as emails or chat messages) without your knowledge and consent.
  • Our use of third-party website tracking tools (such as session replay or behavior analytics) is disclosed in this Privacy Policy. If we add session recording tools in the future that capture keystrokes or mouse movements, we will update this policy accordingly.

9. HIPAA and Health Information

This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through our website. Protected Health Information (PHI) that you provide in connection with your dental care — including through our patient portal, intake forms, or communications with our clinical staff — is governed separately by our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices, which you may request at any of our office locations or from our front desk team.

We do not transmit protected health information through our general website contact forms or via the advertising tracking tools described in this policy.

10. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include SSL/TLS encryption for data transmitted through our Site, access controls, and regular security reviews.

No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Analytics data collected through Google Analytics 4 is retained for 14 months by default. CallRail recordings are retained for 25 months.
